Dan Sladkus has been on the cutting edge of video and film production since 1984 when he founded Deerfield Productions, Inc. and built it into one of the most active production companies in the New York metropolitan area. Since then, Deerfield has produced hundreds of television commercials. Clients range include regional and national advertising agencies as well as top fortune 500 firms themselves.

In addition, Deerfield is one of the nation’s foremost producers of educational media content, producing projects for many of the country’s leading publishing firms, including Prentice Hall, Scholastic, Sunburst Communications, Human Relations Media, Houghton Mifflin, McGraw-Hill, Pearson Education, and Random House to name a few.

Dan has received numerous awards, including the coveted Parents Choice Awards and gold, silver, and bronze medals from the International Film and Television Festival educational division.

In 1999 Dan sold Deerfield Productions Inc. to Smart Pros Ltd and was instrumental in taking the combined companies public in 2005 with a sale to Kaplan Education. (NYSE: GHC)

In 2006 he founded DEG Productions Inc. DEG, and its divisions; DEG Direct Response, Deerfield Education Group, serving the direct-to-consumer branding and drive to retail advertising markets, and K-12 and higher educational publishing markets.
